Zazie Simoni is 21 years old and a third-year Journalism student at AP University College. Apart from some dance experience, she didn’t have many hobbies for a long time — until she started a theater course at Stormkop in 2022, called Man Overboord. There, she discovered the world behind the scenes of theater. Where she once thought of theater as familiar dialogues in a living room setting — a reflection of everyday life — she soon realized it was much broader, rawer, and more surprising than she had imagined. That discovery opened up a whole new world for her.

What can you expect from Zazie as a performer? Pretty much anything. She’s open to trying it all. For those who know her mainly as a journalism student, it might be unexpected: suddenly, there’s a wild side that comes out. But she fully embraces it. She loves doing things on stage that you wouldn’t or couldn’t do in daily life.

On stage, Zazie feels most at home in physical expression and in portraying absurd, eerie, or perverse characters — precisely because they’re so far removed from the way she presents herself in everyday life.
