Matthieu Götz

Set Designer / Light Designer

Matthieu Götz, born in 1980 in southern Germany, boasts a rich French-German heritage. He pursued his studies in architecture at Kassel University and the École d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais, and later delved into Egyptology at Freie Universität Berlin. Matthieu's professional journey began in 2008 at Staatstheater Kassel and later at Schauspielhaus Bochum, before transitioning to a successful freelance stage design career in 2011.

From 2012 to 2018, Matthieu imparted his knowledge as a lecturer in Architectural History at Kassel University. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in archaeological fieldwork in Dahshur and Qantir/Piramesse, Egypt, contributing his expertise to uncovering the secrets of ancient civilizations.
