Lara Deruyter (°1999, Antwerp) started dancing at the age of 6 and fell in love with the art-form. She initiated training at Arlekino/Ma-GO!, building a strong foundation in ballet, jazz and contemporary. Later she went on to study contemporary dance at Fontys School for the Arts in Tilburg, The Netherlands. After completing this education, she went on to broaden her skillset by training in various styles, all to keep on expanding her physical and artistic capabilities. She has a passion for movement in all its forms and is fascinated by connection end storytelling.
Next to her passion for performing, she discovered her passion for production. As a production coördinator for LAP (dance company for children’s performances) and Rebels Kunstplatform Man OverBoord - MOB (organisation that does art-education for youth), she aims to make the process as smooth as possible by providing the right frame and circumstances to fully dive into the artistic process or job at hand.
For REPEAT. she worked as a production coördinator and choreograhic assistent. Previously she also worked together with Helder Seabra as a production coördinator and dancer on MurMur during Winterwarm in collaboration with de Warande, CC t’Schaliken en de Werft.
