Fauske De Vriendt
Performer
Fauske De Vriendt (born in 2008, Antwerp) is a young theatre maker and performer. Alongside her studies at Hibernia Steinerschool, where she is especially drawn to artistic and dynamic subjects, she explores movement, rhythm, and improvisation as tools for storytelling.
Her journey on stage began with theatre workshops at Het Paleis in Antwerp, which sparked a deeper passion for performance. This led her to audition for MOB (Stormkop), where she is now in her third year of the theatre education program.
She is fascinated by the space between theatre and dance, by how words can become movement, and by the way music can guide the body. She enjoys experimenting, improvising, and finding emotion through physical presence.
Fauske’s first major stage production ‘REPEAT.’, was created in collaboration with four other young theatre makers. In this physical performance, she explored the connection between movement, music, and how to put her words into movements; translate her thoughts and feelings into expressive, bodily storytelling.
She believes that theatre has the power to connect people through shared stories, emotions, and experiences. In the future, she hopes to keep creating work that moves people both physically and emotionally and to keep challenging herself and her audience along the way.
